Been a patient here for 2 years and I'm officially done with this place. It was great when I first became a patient, but it didn't last long before things started going downhill. I've had a number of issues with them which only seem to just be getting worse and more frequent. These are just a few: 1. They no longer answer the phones and all calls go straight to voicemail, forcing you to leave a message and hope for a callback. 2. If they do call you back, it will be hours or days later. 3. The nurses working the front desk throw a fit if you try to request a prescription refill even a day early so you don't run out of meds in between refills. 4. They also don't seem to understand that most months on the calendar are 31 days and that the refill date for a 30-day supply of medication pretty much never falls on the same day of the month that it was filled on because of this. So, even if you request a refill at the 30-day mark they still often think it's too early because the date doesn't match the last refill, resulting in me having to explain that's not how basic math works. 5. Regardless of when you request a prescription refill, it regularly takes them a few days and requires calling the office multiple times to get them to finally submit it to the pharmacy. 6. They randomly forced me to start coming in for monthly checkups and providing urinary samples to get my ADHD meds, despite the fact I had previously been coming in every 3 months, and have been taking the same meds responsibly and had a clean history for the 9 years I've been taking it. 7. They didn't notify me of this new policy, causing me to run out of meds before I found out even though I should have had one more refill before my next appointment. 8. Since I wasn't notified of the policy change before my prescription ran out and I was without my meds for nearly 3 days before my appointment, it was completely out of my system by that point and didn't show up in my urine sample, which in their eyes means I must be selling my medication. 9. They have lied to me on multiple occasions when trying to get refills, saying they've added my request to their calendar, only for me to have to call back the next day to find out that they have no record of my request. Most recently, they told me the reason for the monthly checkup and urinary analysis policy is because of some new DEA law, but I can't find any evidence that such a law exists. Basically, this place is a nightmare to deal with if you rely on any sort of medication that requires calling the office for a refill or coming in for regular checkups. Even before they started treating me like a junkie or drug dealer, they consistently made my life unnecessarily difficult when trying to get my medication. I fix cars for a living and not having a regular supply of my medication not only hurts my performance at work, but in many cases it could also have serious implications for the customers if I happen to forget to tighten even a single bolt on a car. It's a shame because the doctor and the nurses other than the ones that work the front desk have always been great to work with, and I was still willing to drive over 2 hours to come in for my appointments every 3 months after I moved to San Antonio. Their policies are all over the place though and once you're out of the office they become completely dysfunctional and treat patients as an afterthought.
